how to set up and configure the CSV

listener agent the scenes we listener

allows us to listen for data that comes

from a CSV file I already have an event

printer set up and configured this will

help us look at the data that is rich

from the CSV file what I now want to do

is to setup and configure my CSV

listener go to the tool box and search

for CSV you will find it under listeners

click on the agent and drag it to the

canvas note that the default name will

be given to it you can rename the agent

by clicking on the white space and start

typing

next connect the outfit endpoint of your

first Asian to the input endpoint of the

second and click Save

double click on your CSV less than agent

first make sure you using the correct

election if not select another

collection from the rock down next set

the polling interval for example if I

leave it as 10 seconds it will check for

new records in the CSV file every 10

seconds in the data section upload your

CSV file by clicking on select fog and

browsing to the location on desk where

it's stored as soon as the file is

successfully uploaded the columns in the

file will appear in the pilot section

specify the correct data type for each

of these columns

click apply click Save demonstrate how

the CSV listener works I'm going to run

the stream by clicking on publish to

view the data click on live view and

select your event printer agent click

Save and give it a few seconds you will

see data start coming through to expand

the page click on maximize
