this example demonstrates how to use the

row count agent to add a sequential

counter to incoming batches of five

simulated events

first drag the row count agent onto the

canvas

link the input endpoint to the simulated

events and the output to the printer

save the data stream and click on the

agent to configure it

tick to reset the count to 1 when data

is received set the new row count

column's name

apply the changes

save the data stream

publish it and let's look at the live

data view

our row number column is added to the

incoming payload which is reset to one

for every batch of five events received
