this example demonstrates how to use the

data conversion agent to convert an

incoming columns type to double and add

a new column for temperature converted

to integer

first drag the agent onto the canvas

link the input to the asset data and

output to the printer

save the data stream

and click on the agent to configure it

add a conversion with asset as the input

the same name to overwrite it in the

output payload and double for the new

data type

add another for temperature named intent

to add as a new column in the

output and end 32 for the data type

apply the changes

save the data stream

publish it and let's look at the live

data view

the data type of asset has changed and

the temperature value converted to

integer in the new column into temp
