Add a New Field

  1. In the Server Explorer, click on the Process Explorer category.

  2. Double-click on the Activity in which you want to add the new field. This will open the activity's document window in the main work area. You will notice four reference labels have already been created for you. Current Date, Current User, Case ID and Process ID are default fields created on all new activities.

  3. In the Toolbox, make sure you are in the Activity Designer category.

  4. Drag a Control from the toolbox to the main work area.

  5. Once the new control has been dropped on to the page the Object Configuration Wizard will open.

  6. In the Object Configuration Wizard – General Tab, configure the properties for your new object.

  1. In the Object Configuration Wizard – Options Tab, configure the options for your new object. Each item should be separated by the next with a semi-colon “;”. Once complete click Ok.

Note: To re-open the Object Configuration Wizard once you have clicked Ok, right click on the required object and select the option “XMPro Wizard”

  1. Click Save icon on the quick access toolbar; or press Ctrl + S on your keyboard to save the control.

Deleting a Field

You can delete a control by following exactly the same steps that you do when deleting anything else.

  1. In the Server Explorer, click on the Process Explorer category.

  2. Double-click on the Activity to which the Field you want to delete belongs. This will open the activity's document window in the main work area.

  3. In the activity's document window, select the field you want to delete.

  4. Click on Delete icon from the quick access toolbar; or press Ctrl + D on your keyboard to delete the activity.

  5. When prompted, click on OK.

  6. Click on the Save icon on the quick access toolbar; or press Ctrl + S on your keyboard to save the activity.

Note: An asterisk (*) will appear on the tab of the document window to show you that there is unsaved information. After saving, the asterisk (*) will disappear.

Editing an Existing Field

At any stage you want to, you can change the details of a field. Follow the same steps you followed when you edited anything else.

  1. In the Server Explorer, click on the Process Explorer category.

  2. Double-click on the Activity to which the Field you want to edit belongs. This will open the activity's document window in the main work area.

  3. In the activity's document window, right click on the field you want to edit and select the option “XMPro Wizard”.

  4. Make the desired changes in the Object Configuration Wizard.

  5. Click on the Save icon on the quick access toolbar; or press Ctrl + S on your keyboard to save the activity.

Note: An asterisk (*) will appear on the tab of the document window to show you that there is unsaved information. After saving, the asterisk (*) will disappear.

Remember to test your changes regularly in WorkFlow.
